1.) Day trip to Knoxville. Since all of our friends have been home over the holidays we have been taking advantage of that during our weekends. We traveled to Knoxville a couple weekends ago to attend an Ice Bear Hockey game and made a pit stop on Market Square to eat at on of our favorite restaurants, Stock and Barrel. If you're ever in Knoxville and looking for a place with amazing burgers, this is your place. We also stopped into our favorite bar, The Peter Kern Library, inside the Oliver Hotel. This bar is a little hidden gem, it's very small with no windows and tucked inside the hotel- it's a speakeasy bar! The drinks are all delicious and you order out of an old book. I love concept of this bar- very cozy, quaint, and cool! 2.) Cheddar's Spinach Dip. Recently I have become slightly obsessed with spinach dip. Over the holidays I was constantly consuming spinach dip at all the Christmas parties we went to. You can never have a good holiday party without some great spinach dip. All the dips I've tried have been amazing, but nothing beats the famous spinach dip at Cheddar's Cafe. Instead of constantly trying to drag my family to Cheddars, I looked up a copy cat recipe online! This weekend we are supposed to have a big snow storm, so Bryan and I are going to the grocery store tonight to stock up! One thing I'll be making this weekend is the copy cat recipe. I'll be posting the recipe next week if it turns out just as good! 3.) Snow Days. So yesterday I blogged about how snow days are basically non existent for me now, however, work ended up closing a whopping two hours early! So I was still thrilled with excitement since this was the first big snow of the year. After having to catch a ride home from my coworker, I couldn't wait to take Auggie outside to play in the snow. He LOVES the snow. He hops in the snow like he is a little bunny and enjoys eating the snow! He does not enjoy using the bathroom in the snow. Since he's fairly small, the snow came up to his belly yesterday when he would walk in the yard so we had to clear a patch in the snow for him to be able to use the bathroom. As soon as we would bring him inside to dry off, he was already sitting/waiting to go back outside. If we get the big snow like the weather man says this weekend, I plan to take him to the park near our house where we went sledding last year so we can all play and enjoy the snow together!
