This past Memorial Day weekend was filled with lots of sun and great friends. Since I have most Fridays off of work anyways, this weekend was extra long for me- even though it seemed to go by way to quick. All of my friends were in town visiting and one of our friends was getting married so we were on the go majority of the time. Friday evening was spent on the lake with some of my closest friends, while the boys fished in the cove the girls played some catch up. Bryan made one of his best meals yet on the grill Friday evening..Sweet Jerk Chicken! I swear this is one of the best meals I've had at home, it had amazing flavor and was grilled to perfection. Next time he makes it I plan on following him around so I can share it on here with everyone. Saturday one of our good friends got married at one of the prettiest venues in our area. This venue sits on top of the mountain with amazing views. It's also where my cousin got married four years ago. I hadn't been back since her wedding until Saturday and it made me remember the special times we shared there with our Mimi on my cousin's wedding weekend. It's still pretty as ever and our friends' wedding was absolutely beautiful. While the bride and groom took professional pictures over looking the mountains, my friends and I had our own miniature photo shoot. Weddings are always so fun, especially when all your college best friends come in town for it as well. Sunday and Monday was yet another day spent on the water with good friends. If this weekend is anything like this Summer will be, we are in store for a fun and exciting Summer!

I read an article the other day about how people always seem to pick out the negatives in every situation before the positives. I believe we have all done this before, including myself one too many times. I often forget about the littlest of things that seem to make me happy or at least put a smile on my face on a dull day. The simplest things can make a day better and after reading the 50 things that made this particular person happy, I stopped to think about things that would be on my list. I couldn't help to think about the days I'm in a mood and how simple it would be to change my attitude by doing something off my list.
