1.) Breyers Gelato Indulgences. I have a new found love...and it consists in a creamy vanilla caramel gelato. I have always had this biggest sweet tooth. After every meal it doesn't matter how full I may be, I can always make room for something sweet. For several years my go to after dinner sweetness has always been Ben and Jerry's Half Baked Ice Cream. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this delicious pint of ice cream. However, Bryan has tempted me to try other ice creams since the price of B & J's is a bit ridiculous- but nothing ever compares. We were shopping on Sunday and we happened to see Breyers Vanilla Caramel Gelato on sale, so Bryan conned me into trying this instead of buying the usual Half Baked. After dinner on Sunday night we both tried it and fell in love. It's beyond creamy with caramel swirled in to every bite. The caramel reminds me of the homemade kind of caramel, its super thick and delicious. Since, this was on a sale at the time we bought it I'm not for certain this isn't just as pricey as B & J's but its definitely worth a try. Next time we go to the grocery store I have Breyers Gelato Raspberry Cheesecake on the list. 2. Barlean's Olive Leaf Complex. I recently had a horrible sinus infection and bad head cold. It seemed never ending, I was on antibiotics and it still lasted almost two weeks. Someone told me to try Barlean's olive leaf complex spray to help soothe my throat and help with my immune system. It worked wonders!!! I have the peppermint flavor and it tasted amazing and leaves a fresh minty aftertaste.. After reading some reviews I found that anyone can use this olive leaf complex (that comes in different product forms) on a daily basis just to help keep the immune system up and as a seasonal wellness. I would definitely recommend!! 3.) Planning our next vacation. For the last couple of months Bryan and I have been contemplating on our next vacation destination. Last year we had our vacation booked by late December and had chose to do a cruise with our family/friends (I hope to blog about our cruise destinations soon). This year we keep going back and forward between locations, excursions, and whether or not we want to do another cruise again or not. I love cruises but I also love being on a resort and not having to worry about a time schedule. We know we want to go somewhere in the Caribbean. I've been looking for locations based on things to do once we get there. I would love to go cliff jumping and cave diving but I can't seem to find a destination that offers both. Tough decisions, HELP!

I've decided to dedicate my favorites this week to my sweet pup who turned One on Sunday. As I began typing my three favorite things from this week I realized Auggie's birthday segment was ten times longer than the others. So why not just talk about him this week? After all, it is, well was, his birthday. Auggie turned one on Sunday! Our first and only pup Bryan and I have ever had together turned one this past Sunday. Since it was his first birthday I told Bryan we had to celebrate accordingly. What better way to celebrate a pup's birthday than by taking him for a long walk/run by the lake? ! Oh and giving him lots of treats and a big new toy filled with a bunch of squeakers! I figured by the time he was one (or 7 according to dog years) he just might be out of his puppy/terror stage. I was wrong. He's biting and chewing everything, he never wants to sleep (unless we are in the car), and he constantly wants to play/run and be outside. Anyhow, all the countless things that have been ruined from his chewing abilities, the hours of sleep we have lost, and going outside in the freezing cold/rain are well worth it. 1.)The amount of excitement he spreads as soon as you walk in the door can put a smile on your face even when you're having a bad day. If you walk outside to check the mail for 30 seconds, he will act like you have been gone for years and cuddle and lick your face non stop until you give him your undivided attention. I found myself looking forward to walking in the door after a long day just to see how excited he gets when he hears me coming up the steps and I can see his paws and tail wagging underneath the door. After the love he gives us when we walk in the door now, I couldn't imagine coming home to an empty house. 2.) Auggie is the best cuddle buddy around when he gets super sleepy. As soon as we get in bed at night he demands to be let up on the bed with us. He will crawl directly on top of your pillow if you get up for the slightest second and when we go to lay down he acts like we're taking his spot on the bed. I often wake up in the middle of the night breathing in his fur because he will plop right beside my face to get extra snug against me...or Bryan. He also loves a long car ride, he will pass out cold within 5 minutes of the drive and sleep on our lap until the rest of the way home. 3.) He loves to act like a hound dog and howl at the top of his lungs while he plays with his squeaky toys. When we first discovered him doing this (at 8 weeks old) we were both a little stunned/worried at what was happening. He is a full shih tzu but I promise he can out howl any hound dog out there. We have now realized to love him for his weird hound like behavior. All of our friends and family get the biggest kick out of him when he goes on his howling rant. It is a normal behavior now and happens almost every time he plays with a squeaky toy. We've learned to love him a little bit extra for his weird like ways. I can promise there is nothing like the love a dog will share with their owners. I never, ever imagined I could love a little pup so much until him. I am a big animal lover, but I would recommend a dog to any loving/caring person out there. Dogs make life better. The first day we received Auggie he was almost 7 weeks old and barely 2 pounds. Little pup on a big bed. He loved shopping in his carrier as a pup. The sweetest little puppy kisser. Buckle up for safety. Hanging out with his favorite mascot, Smokey. Go Vols! Love to sleep and get cuddles while riding in the car. Sleeping like a human next to my dad, make room on the pillow! Auggie celebrating his 1st birthday with a trail walk by the lake. Lucky to have two sweet lovin' boys.
