Sawyer's nursery is officially complete!! I seriously could not be more excited with how it turned out. It has become my favorite room in the house and I love hanging out in there, it's so peaceful and the natural lighting that comes in from the one and only window in the room is actually so impressive. I can see the sun rise in the morning from sitting in his rocker and looking out the window which I love. Auggie and I spend almost every morning in Sawyer's room. My pup loves to rock with me or hang out in baby boys teepee. I've gone looking for Auggie on multiple occasions only to find him cuddled up asleep in the rocker or nestled inside the teepee, it is the cutest. The lighting in some of these pictures might look a bit different because I took some images during mid day and others when I was in hanging out in there in the morning before the sun came up. When we found out we were having a boy I started looking on Pinterest for nursery inspiration. I knew what kind of nursery I wanted if we were going to have a girl but I had no clue on what I wanted for a little boy. After searching many blogs for ideas, I came across one that had mountains painted on the main wall. I instantly fell in love and sent Bryan a picture of the room and told him we had to do something similar. Here was the original blog I found and then shortly after I found this blog on how to do a mountain mural on your own. My thoughts originally after knowing I wanted the mountain mural on the wall was to hire a painter. We didn't want to spend the money on a painter and the blog showed us step by step on how to paint it. Bryan and I taped the mountains how we wanted them and then he did the rest. I was so impressed with all his hard work and creativity he did in Sawyer's room, he has outdone himself around the house lately prepping for our baby. I loved the idea of a mountain theme for the nursery since Bryan and I spend a lot of our spare time hiking in the mountains around where we live. We plan on taking Sawyer on hikes with us as soon as we can. I hope he grows up to love the mountains just as much as we do. I didn't want to do dark colors for his room, so I spent hours picking out the exact paint colors I wanted. I went with three different gray color tones, all from....Walmart! Once we painted the room, we (Bryan and family, not me) put together all the nursery furniture. After that was all put together it was time to decorate, my job! I spent multiple days at Hobby Lobby and waited for the pieces I found that I wanted to go on sale. FYI never pay full price on anything from there, just ask an associate when the item will be on sale next. I always paid at least 50% off on everything I purchased. Everything on his walls (and the teepee) came from there except the Samuel Prayer sign which came from my in-laws. That sign means so much to us because we prayed so hard for a little baby. I had to put it where I would be most in his room, above the rocker. All of the furniture, except the changing table (which I bought off a friend) came from Amazon, even the rug. Amazon has become our best friend lately. We order from there all the time and with 2 day shipping directly to our house what could be easier? It is also so much cheaper! I could have bought the exact same crib and rug in store for double the price. I knew with the cost of a baby we needed to be careful not to spend a fortune on the nursery. His bedding sheets and changing sheets I made on babybedding.com and then I registered for back up sheets that go along with the mountain theme on Target which my sister and one of my friends purchased for me. The longest part of the entire process I think was picking out each decor piece. I was laughed at in the beginning because we started on the nursery so early, but I was SO excited to work on it and now I am happy I did. I am a planner and I would have been scrambling if I would have waited any longer. So a word of advice, don't wait on the nursery, it's better to get a head start then to be worrying about it during your third trimester when babies can make their appearance at any time and you become absolutely exhausted, like me. I cannot wait to see our sweet Sawyer in his room in almost 10 weeks (or maybe sooner)! I can't believe I am in the third trimester and his room is officially done. The wait game is on. I couldn't be happier with his nursery and I loved every minute of planning it and watching it come together. Shout out to my hubby for all his hard work in there too! Until Sawyer arrives you can find us hanging out in our new favorite room of the house.

I love how it all came together. After completing our nurseries, they were always my favorite room to be in too. There's just something so sweet about sitting in a newly decorated room, dreaming about the baby that's about to occupy it.
