HOW FAR ALONG: 34 weeks 4 days!
SIZE OF BABY: The size of a cantaloupe. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO: I've been working on his laundry and getting all of the essential baby items ready. I never dreamed that it would take me this long to do his laundry and sort through it all but Sawyer has more clothes than I do. All of his tiny things somehow seem to get lost in the washer or dryer so I've ordered wash bags that I plan to start putting his little things (like socks) in. This is also the first time I've ever used baby Dreft and I loooove the smell. I would wash all my clothes in it if it weren't for the price. We have also been organizing and cleaning our house like crazy. The nesting thing is a serious issue for me...I hate to admit this but I even cleaned and germ x'd our mailbox the other day.... EXERCISE: I count cleaning and running errands as exercise these days. BODY CHANGES: The belly is measuring right on target at 34 inches. My belly button is still microscopic but refuses to turn into an "outie". My hands and feet are finally starting to swell regardless of what I do (that used to only occur if I were on my feet) now I roll out of bed and can't even put my rings on my fingers anymore. My eye rash has finally seemed to have gone away but I'm thinking it'll reappear before delivery. SLEEP: Not much of sleep happening, besides my hip pain my back feels like it's going to break as soon as I wake up in the morning. I partially blame my bed for this one. Our bed is too soft and I need something more firm to help with that. Bryan surprised me with a prenatal massage spa package the other day and I am hoping this might help relieve some of the pain. I booked it for 38 weeks but Bryan is convinced I might not make it to 38 weeks so I am thinking of rescheduling. BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: Everything is looking good on these last few weeks. I am going to see the doctor every two weeks now and once I hit 36 weeks I will go to the doctor weekly. On Friday at my 34 week apt everything still looked good. He is still head down and his heart rate is starting to lower (139 heart rate) which according to the docs the baby's heart rate will get closer to normal 120 rates the closer they get to birth. WORST MOMENT: No bad moments but I think my hormones/being super tired are becoming quite noticeable. The smallest things seem to irritate me or make me emotional. I'm also starting to worry more about anything and everything. I have always been prone to being a worry wart but it's getting out of hand. I try to just pray about it. I am so undeserving of everything I've been blessed with. I just try to count on God to help me with this! FOOD CRAVINGS: I haven't had an absolute food craving per say lately but I do get in the mood for things and want them asap....like Bryans homemade rice krispy treats :) SYMPTOMS: Back and hip pain, baby boy is constantly pushing up against that vein or nerve down there and it sends a shooting pain for just a second. It's happening all the time now. I very rarely experience braxton hicks but have a ton of pressure on my pelvis after being on my feet for just a short period of time. WHAT'S GOING ON WITH BABY: He is putting on the pounds and fattening up. His little jabs and flutters have turned into full roll and body movements. I filmed my belly the other night and sent it to my fam and friends. They were all in shock at how crazy he was going in just a matter of 30 seconds. It looked as if he was playing football in there. I can't wait to show him some of these videos one day. His central nervous system is still maturing along with his lungs. He is taking deep breaths, his eyes blink and pupils will dilate/constrict according to light. He still gets the hiccups at least twice a day which are good for lung development according to the docs. NEXT APPOINTMENT: 36 weeks. At that appointment they will test for Group B strep and check for any signs of dilation. A lot of people think Sawyer will make his appearance before his due date, mainly because he is head down, so low already, and there have been a couple of things that appear to show some signs of labor in the near future. I'm convinced he will make an appearance after I eat my Thanksgiving dinner, but watch him surprise us all and come after his due date. TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: So I've gained almost 7 pounds in the last two weeks. I swear he has dropped even more than just a couple weeks ago because I feel like I can breathe again and I am back to eating like a mad woman. I am now up 32 pounds from pre pregnancy. Either he is taking all this extra weight or I am putting it somewhere,I just don't realize it yet. I think with him measuring big and already having those sweet chubby cheeks he is liking all this extra food I've been eating lately. I hope he is a little chunk when he decides to grace us with his presence. Chunky babies are so cute! MATERNITY CLOTHES? I have them but I stick to wearing work out pants or maternity leggings most days. Maternity clothes are comfortable but nothing beats leggings. DIET: I am trying to eat a little bit better...but the holidays are approaching and Halloween candy..... MISS ANYTHING? A full nights sleep. I think it'll be a very long time before I see that again. ANYTHING MAKE YOU QUEASY OR SICK? No. GENDER: Boy. HAPPY OR MOODY? Happy, nervous, moody, worried, excited, pretty much have all the emotions right now! I recently had my maternity shoot and I am still waiting to get my pictures back. I can't wait to see how they turned out and do a post on them. I had Bryan and Auggie join along too and be in most pictures as well. We plan to use these as our Christmas cards this year and send them out the first week of December unless we have little man by then and will send his newborn pictures out for our Christmas cards. Until I get the pictures back, here is one of my favorites from the sneak peak the photographer showed me!
